Support Worker

Support Worker

Protective Care Group are looking for passionate and caring Support Workers to help create a safe, loving environment for children that exhibit extremely challenging behaviour as a result of trauma.

Why You’ll Love This Role:

  • A chance to be a child again: Hiking, mini golf, football, baking, pamper nights—whatever our children want to do you’ll make it happen!
  • No two days are the same: Yes, it’s a challenging role but worthwhile. Take a look at some of our case studies to find out more https://protective-care.co.uk/portfolio_category/young-people/
  • Incredibly rewarding: give a child the opportunity to create a stable, nurturing home that they deserve but never had
  • Challenge yourself: This isn’t your standard care role—expect variety, unpredictability, and the chance to make every day count.

Requirements

What we’re looking for:

  • A full UK manual driving license and Right to Work in the UK.
  • Flexibility to work across the North East, we have a lot of young people so you could be asked to work in any of our teams.
  • Able to commit to a varied shift pattern including rolling 4 on 4 off that covers days, waking nights and sleep-ins. This means you need to be comfortable staying away from home if your rotation requires you to.
  • People who are open minded, willing to learn and able to adapt to anything which may be thrown your way, like we said, this isn’t your standard care role.
  • An understanding of trauma and its impact on behaviour and safeguarding.

What our Young People are looking for:

  • Someone who is nice, enjoys activities and will help with things.
  • Someone who will take things slowly and enjoy life.
  • Someone who will take time to listen and understand.

Benefits

What You’ll Get:

  • Competitive salary of £32,000, plus shift uplifts & sleep-in pay.
  • Paid leave, sick pay, and a company pension.
