Support Worker
Protective Care Group are looking for passionate and experienced Support Workers to help create a safe, loving environment for children that exhibit extremely challenging behaviour as a result of trauma. At PCG we strive to ensure every colleague can make a positive and lasting difference to our young people and their families.
Why You’ll Love This Role:
- A chance to enhance your skills in a challenging environment. This isn’t your standard care role, expect variety, unpredictability, and the chance to make every day count.
- Be a child again: Hiking, mini golf, football, baking, pamper nights—whatever our children want to do you’ll make it happen!
- No two days are the same: Yes, it’s a challenging role but worthwhile. Take a look at some of our case studies to find out more https://protective-care.co.uk/portfolio_category/young-people/
- Incredibly rewarding: give a child the opportunity to create a stable, nurturing home that they deserve but never had.
Requirements
What we’re looking for:
- A full UK manual driving license and Right to Work in the UK.
- Flexibility to work across the North East, we support a lot of Young People so you could be asked to work in any of our teams.

- Proven experience working with people with significant trauma and challenging behaviour.
- The ability to remain honest and respectful in all interactions with your colleagues, our young people and all stakeholders.
- A Level 3 in residential childcare, or suitable equivalent, would be an advantage in this role.
What our Young People are looking for:
- Someone who is nice, enjoys activities and will help with things
