Recruitment process
From the outset we’ll discuss the entire process with you, so you’ll know exactly what to expect at every stage. We’ll let you know the type of things we’re looking for so you’ll have ample of time to prepare. You’ll receive regular feedback and an outcome very quickly at each point in the process with have plenty of opportunities to ask more questions.
Joining the team
Once we offer you a role and you accept, we’ll reach out to support you through background checks, references, your resignation and notice period in the lead-up to the day you join. We’ll gather all the information we need from you and provide you with all the details you’ll need for your first day and your induction and training plan.
Getting you up and running
You’ll be invited to attend our company induction day during which you’ll find out all about us, who’s who and who your go-to people are. You’ll find out about our growth plans and we’ll even help you get all your day one admin completed. Your line manager will also have drawn up an ‘on the job’ induction plan tailored to you and your role.
Learning, Developing & Training
For support workers, your first few weeks will mostly be focused on training which will cover all the core skills required to confidently join your setting and your team. If you’re joining head office or the field management team, you’ll also have a plan tailored to you. We’ve got purpose-built training facilities at our head office and if you need it due to where you live, we’ll put you up in a hotel. We’ll also set you up with on-line training that can be done from home or at quieter times at work. You’ll also have refresher training each year too.
Career progression
For those keen to work towards a leadership role, which could be running a placement team or even a number of teams, we’ll help you get there. This will mean taking on studies from Level 3, 4 and 5 in Leadership & Management in Residential Childcare. We understand this is an additional commitment in time from you, but we’ll pay for it for you and give you some paid trainings days too, it’s a great investment in your future. Development within our head office roles will take a different path tailored to the role.
Salary & Rewards
Our salaries are already considered to be some of the strongest in the market. To aid our Support Workers’ development, we also offer additional paid training days each year and if you do work any over-time, we’ll pay for all that too. We employ fairness to this structure and as a new company we’re working hard to introduce a greater reward package as time moves forwards. We already offer a nice pension scheme, paid holidays and more.
