Protective Care Group was established to provide bespoke and tailor-made support for young people with severe, complex needs, particularly those exhibiting extremely challenging behaviour. We specialise in providing a level of support that local authorities are often unable to; support that makes a real difference to somebody’s quality of life and future prospects.

We are growing rapidly across the UK. We’ve grown to over 100 members of staff in around a year and are aiming to reach 250-300 in the next 12 months. We’ve been busy putting structure and processes in place to enable further rapid scalability. Due to this growth, we are now recruiting for a Finance Assistant to join our ever-growing Head Office team.

As a Finance Assistant with PCG, you play an integral part in ensuring our Finance team are operating in a timely and efficient manner. You’ll need to be able to think on your feet and manage your workload effectively, whilst maintaining positive and enthusiastic.

Key Responsibilities

  • Bank reconciliation
  • Monitoring the team budgets
  • Purchase invoice entry into our accounts system
  • Payroll administration
  • Monitoring the accounts inbox
  • Raising invoices and credit control
  • Assisting with the management of the car fleet
  • Supporting the Finance Manager with reconciling VAT

Requirements

We are a fun and busy team, we all work together to ensure we are doing what needs to be done, when it needs to be done. You’ll be comfortable working as part of a team but also be able to confidently work independently and take ownership of your role and responsibilities. The ability to manage your own workload and prioritise is essential.

 Ideally, you will be in the process of studying AAT Level 2 (or have already obtained this), although, for the right candidate we will support you in gaining this qualification. Due to the nature of the role, a keen interest in finance and working with numbers is essential.

Experience of working with finance systems such as Xero and Sage are desirable.
